Hi, thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.
To really understand the passion that drives us to do what we do, we must first set the backdrop to our story. As all good stories begin...
Once upon a time...
DigITal Devices were too expensive and cumbersome to own and carry around. Those who could have afforded these devices couldn't do much with them. Since the dawn of this millennium in the year 2000 DigITal Devices have evolved. Personal Computers and Mobile Devices are becoming more affordable, powerful, attractive and user-friendly day by day. Developers have harnessed these factors to create software programs and Apps to make almost any task easier as the Apple Ad will say "there's" and app for that". Many people's digITal devices are now an integral part of their everyday life.
DigITal Connectivity between digITal devices has also advanced over these years. As the physical infrastructure improves, the possible bandwidth (transfer speeds) increases exponentially from dial-up (very slow speeds) to broadband (extremely high speeds). More bandwidth meant it was easier to transfer lager digITal media files like pictures, audio and video files. The technology even allowed us to unplug our network cables and transfer of digITal media through air, hence the term "wireless" was born. More access gave rise to the "Dotcom burst" from the year 2000. The Internet became a very Interactive and Social place for us to connect and communicate, for business and for pleasure.

With the explosion of faster digITal devices and connectivity there was also an explosion of digITal information, as some may say "T.M.I. - To Much Information". Vast quantities of information was now literally available at one's fingertips. Sharing anything digitally could now be done in seconds with just the click of a button. The rapid adaptation of technology into the way we live, work and play created new social and ethical issues. The digITal age required much more that just computer literacy, and traditional numeracy and literacy competencies. In 1997 a man named, Paul Gilster published a book entitled "Digital Literacy". In the early 21st century, Gilster's idea that digital literacy was about "mastering ideas, not keystrokes" gave birth to the DigITal Literacy we know today. DigITal Literacy empowers us with the competencies to Access, Use, Understand and Create information in a safe and responsible manner.

So what does all this have to do with ICT Expertz?
You see, the first avatar of our company, Cyberstate Limited was incorporated in 1999, under the Trinidad and Tobago Companies Act of 1995. Our team of IT (Information Technology) professionals found, at that time many computer problems were as a result of users not knowing how to properly use and take care of their computer systems. Gaining or improving your IT competencies proved to be a daunting task, due to the limited quality IT training providers back then. So, we added IT training to our array of IT Services offered. Our company virtually grew and evolved simultaneously with the digITal transformation of post Y2K (year 2000), as described above. In 2006, having accumulated valuable knowledge and experience in the digITal world our management made a strategic decision to operate and do business with a name better suited to our team's combined capabilities, ICT Expertz Limited. The letter-C, which was an abbreviation for the word "Communications", was added to IT because technology was becoming more converged and significantly influenced the way we communicated with each other.
ICT Expertz may be small in size but global in operation. Along the journey we have made many associations and affiliations with industry leaders expanding beyond the shores of our beautiful twin isle, in almost every direction and continent. Our top notch digITal products and solutions originate form the United Kingdom, United States, China, India, Israeli and Australia, just to name a few. Why? because we believe that our clients deserve nothing but the best. By adhering to International best practices in our everyday operations we also ensure that the technical and customer service that we provide are second to no other digITal provider in Trinidad and Tobago and by extension the Caribbean.
We have represented and continue to represent some of he largest names in the ICT and Training industry.
There is no escaping IT...for the better or worse, we live in a digITal World
